How does Scalapay’s pay in 4 installments work?

Scalapay is an innovative payment method that allows you to shop in physical stores and online, receive your products immediately, and pay in 4 convenient equal installments with a monthly due date.

At the time of purchase, the first installment will be charged immediately (equivalent to one-fourth of the total purchase value). The next 3 installments will be collected monthly.

  • First installment: at the time of purchase
  • Second installment: 1 month after the purchase date
  • Third installment: 2 months after the purchase date
  • Fourth and final installment: 3 months after the purchase date

Scalapay immediately pays the seller the full order amount and assumes all fraud and non-payment risks.

How much does Scalapay cost?

Scalapay is completely free for shoppers, provided that installments are paid within the agreed deadline.

You will only be charged a late payment fee if one or more of the planned installments are not paid by the deadline.

Scalapay will remind you a few days before each installment’s due date via SMS and email.

Late payment fees:

  • Payment made before the due date: no charge whatsoever!
  • Payment delayed by more than 24 hours: €1.20 additional charge
  • Payment delayed by more than 9 days: €1.20 additional costs (in addition to the previous charge)

The total cost of fees will not exceed 15% of the total order value (from the second to the fourth installment).

We understand that certain situations may arise that prevent payments from being made on time. If you believe your case falls into this category, please send an email to support@scalapay.com before the payment deadline, and we will do our best to assist you.

Is it safe to pay with Scalapay?

All payments made with Scalapay are managed by our partner Stripe. Stripe is a global leader in payment management, processing millions of payments daily for sites like Amazon, Shopify, and Booking.com.

How much can I purchase with Scalapay?

Your purchasing power depends on several factors. These include: the store you are shopping at, the type of card you are using, whether you have already made a purchase with Scalapay, and if you settled your previous purchases without delay.

If you are a new customer and have never made a purchase with Scalapay, your purchasing power may be limited and will increase the more you shop with Scalapay without any payment delays.
